I've purchased this Milano manufactured hat before and was very pleased. The previous ones were worn approximately 50 days a year (in all types of weather) and lasted about five years. I was very satisfied. My current one was purchased in December and the brim is seriously fallen apart after only 10 days usage. Since I did not have the occasion to wear the hat until late May, the hat has certainly exceeded the warranty/return time limit. So, bottom line, this hat has become useless over the course of 5-6 weeks. A great disappointment after having performed so well in the past. I notified CavHooah and am awaiting a response.
My folks got me this hat as soon as they found out I was going to 2CR in Germany, I was constantly getting asked where I got it and how much it was. I wore it for three years at every occasion allowed. It never got stained or messed up, even with German winters and "Induction Ceremonies ( Hazing)". It's durable and better than what they sold on post. All in all, you get what you pay for, and I'll call this a good investment if you want something to remember when you get older.
